superWAV is the Alternative Rock project of the siblings Anne Wichmann (aka She's Excited!) and Volker Wichmann, based in NYC and IBK. Winners of the Rock Feierwerk award with their Psychedelic Stoner Rock band RAWJAW (discography, EPs), they now produce their own version of 90ies (Electronic) Rock while being thousands of miles apart.
Their debut EP Elements fuses Electronic Rock elements with experimental sampling in the fashion of Dirty Projectors. Their second release ATYPICAL goes back to the roots of Alternative Rock, combining elements of Stoner bands like Kyuss, Garage Rock bands like The White Stripes and Indie Rock bands like The Kills. Their third EP HEAT is a double EP that exists in two states — raw Alternative Rock in the vein of Monster Magnet and Pearl Jam and Electronic Rock with a nod to Massive Attack and Nine Inch Nails.
